Is Cart To Link free to use?
Yes! Cart To Link is completely free to use. We may include affiliate links in shared carts to support our service, but this doesn't affect your shopping experience or prices.
How do affiliate links work?
When you share a cart, we may include affiliate links to support our service. This means we earn a small commission if someone makes a purchase through the shared link. Prices remain the same for you and the recipient - there's no additional cost.
Installation & Setup
How do I install the extension?
Method 1 - Chrome Web Store (Recommended):

- Click "Add to Chrome"

- Open chrome://extensions/

Do I need to create an account?
No account needed! The extension works immediately after installation. Simply go to Amazon, add items to your cart, and click the Cart To Link button to generate a shareable link.
Can I use it on multiple devices?
Yes! Install the extension on any Chrome browser. Your shared links work on any device - recipients don't need the extension installed to view and use shared carts.
What permissions does the extension need?
The extension needs access to Amazon websites to extract cart information. We don't access any other websites or personal data. All permissions are used solely for cart sharing functionality.
Troubleshooting
The extension button doesn't appear
Try these steps:
- Refresh the Amazon page
- Check if the extension is enabled in chrome://extensions/
- Make sure you're on a supported website
- Clear browser cache and cookies
- Restart Chrome browser
Shared cart shows wrong prices
Prices are captured at the time of sharing and may change. The shared cart shows a disclaimer with the capture time. Recipients always see current prices when they visit the actual product pages.
Some products don't appear in shared cart
This can happen with:
- Out-of-stock items
- Region-restricted products
- Items with access limitations
- Digital products (sometimes)
Error: "Failed to extract cart data"
This usually means:
- Your cart is empty
- The website layout has changed
- You're not logged into Amazon
- There's a temporary connectivity issue

How long are shared links stored?
Shared cart data is stored temporarily on our secure servers. Links expire automatically after a reasonable time period to protect your privacy. You can also contact us to remove specific shared carts.
Can others see my personal information?

Can I edit a shared cart link?
Once a cart link is generated and shared, you cannot edit the existing link. However, you can create a new link with updated items. Simply modify your Amazon cart (add or remove items), then generate a new share link using Cart To Link. The old link will remain active until it expires, but you can share the new link with updated cart contents.
Is my cart data secure?
Yes, your cart data is secure! Cart To Link uses industry-standard security measures:

Does Cart To Link work on mobile?

Recipients can view and use shared cart links on smartphones and tablets through any web browser. They can see all products, prices, and add items to their Amazon cart directly from their mobile device. The extension itself needs to be installed on a desktop Chrome browser to generate links, but viewing and using shared links works on all devices.
Can I share cart with non-Amazon users?
Yes! Anyone can view and use shared cart links, even if they don't have an Amazon account. When recipients click your shared link, they can see all products, prices, and details. However, to actually purchase items, they will need to create an Amazon account and sign in. The shared link works for viewing purposes for everyone, making it perfect for sharing gift ideas or product recommendations with anyone.
How many items can I share in one cart?
Cart To Link can handle carts with any number of items. There's no strict limit on the number of products you can include in a shared cart. Whether you have 5 items or 50 items, the extension will generate a shareable link with all products included. Large carts may take a few extra seconds to process, but all items will be included in the generated link.
Can recipients modify my shared cart?
Recipients cannot modify your original Amazon cart. However, they can:
- View all products and prices
- Add all items to their own Amazon cart with one click
- Add individual items to their cart
- Remove items from their own cart (not yours)
